Primer Dia

Ok, there’s plenty to share from my first day. From the new noises outside my bedroom window, all the new people I’ve met, trying to find hangers, the shower spewing all over the bathroom, the fan that doesn’t throw any cool air to the huge zit on my forehead. But, there is ONE thing that made my day particularly special - Cumbia. I took my first lesson in Cumbia tonight. I never knew something could make me so happy. Karen esta muy contenta.

I also met Jack today. It was brief for now since he’s traveling for the next week or so, but it was like at the end of the movie Titanic when he’s swirling to the bottom of the ocean, “Jack, I love you Jack…” but more like “Juanito, I love you man!” *

Good start.

*I think my note about Jack may have been misleading. Please note that this is not meant to mean that I like Jack in any special way. It means that when you go to a new country and meet a trusted contact you feel more secure, sure that youll meet cool and interesting people. Im a 33 year old single woman, and, IM OK WITH IT. Are you? Im open to meeting somewhere. I want to meet someone, but for now Im letting it happen when its supposed to happen. If it happens here or anywhere...Hooray! But, if not, its not my priority at the moment so Pura Vida.

PS
I´m having difficulty getting pictures posted. Bienvenidos a Costa Rica.
