My Family Rocks the Jukebox!

After
Before
There was no holiday bonus from Staples this year, but my awesome family made up for it for sure. At my young age it's hard to accept help, but boy the cash my parents and grandmothers just put in to my bank account couldn't have come at a better time! If I knew how I would do the boot-scootin'-boogie right now!

Not to mention that this generous gift comes on the heels of everyone helping me out so much with my move in november. They made it go so smoothly and economically that i didn't even have time to get stressed out.

Add on to that...I received a fine package from Titi too! I thought it would take much longer so imagine my surprise when there was a ticket in my mail box! Then imagine the added delight when I saw the box itself! Holy cow it must have cost a small fortune - lo siento Titi. I was giddy carrying it thru town. I had no idea what was inside, but it felt like a boy scout badge that read "somebody loves me a wicked lot!"

I put ir away thinking I would save it till the 24th when my family was opening their gifts. Bullpoop! I couldn't take it anymore so I tore in a few hours later. Tanks, tampons and treats galore! I've got a beautiful stocking hung with care now. And it's all I could do not to just add milk to the whole bag of Honeycomb cereal - wow it's been a long time since i had some of that.

What's also cool is that it's fun to feel like a kid again. For years there's been so much grown up stuff going on - weddings, baby showers, house buying, cancer. Now it seems like we're moving in to the time where kids start taking care of or losing their parents - scary. So, getting a box of smiles felt good. Simple, pure, fun and filled with love.

And, a funny to note, the box was from Titi, but it had Grampy all over it. She was meticulous in her packaging and labeling:) I could see her sitting there at about 3:30 in the morning, with butts and raisin bread toast while watching Home Shopping Network...labeling and bagging away.

I am loved. So much. It feels awesome. Everyone in the world should be as lucky as me. This kind of love is a good reminder to not sweat the small stuff in life. A person can have xmas anywhere when you're loved like this, it goes with you, always.

Above are before and after pics of my window. shot 1 is xmas tree and lights. shot two has my new stocking added.
