Movie update...

...don't see Mirrors (Espejos Siniestros en espanol)! It's awful. I'm hardly a movie buff, but the plot was corny, acting was poor, special effects ok, but not good enuff. While Nicole sat with her hands over her face I...slept like a baby.

This is only the second movie I have ever fallen asleep in. The first was when I was on a really bad date. No, don't ask, no need to repeat that story. It could have been from the day of traveling on the bus to San Jose that I was so sleepy, but it was also due to a plain sucky flick. But, the popic was worth the trip. And seeing Nic have to sleep with the light on for the night was a good laugh too. We laid down and about a minute, no a second later, she popped up "karen, put the light on. you put the bedroom l ight on and i'll go put the bathroom light on.!" I was moving for the light when the real fear set in and she barked at me, "hurry uuuuuup!" Wimp, she'll walk in downtown Quepos at night sans fear, but she can't take a lil fake fear factor on the big screen. All turned out well though. With the nite light, she didn't need to be rocked to sleep by the Mama.

On Monday we indulged in some major sweets, visited the embassy (that's another story), and enjoyed a peaceful ride home with some absolutely amazing views. It's breathtaking how the landscape can change so much in one ride. I love this beautiful country...to be continued at some point.
