Today’s yoga was on the beach. You heard right. It just gets better ad better – el mar, el sol, la arena –what a way to start the day. Me, the ocean, the sun, the sand and like-minded people ready to be OK with letting go of what they “should” be doing.
When we came to a resting posture instructor Yogi said “this is for all the people stuck in traffic right now.” I held that pose a little longer just to pay homage to my peeps on 128. I relaxed into it even more as I recalled that fateful day when crazy-little-man-in-big-truck, Noah, crossed my path in THAT snowstorm. You all remember it. If he were here he’d get a downward-dog face plant in the sand from me.
Then I’d forget him and shift my focus to the dragonflies and butterflies circling – locking in peaceful, positive energy and bringing reminders of the people who are always with us and the people we are continually transforming into. This yoga fly is grateful for and pleased with the earth beneath her, the sky above her and the life she lives in between.
