Casa Aqui, Casa Alli

La Fortuna and Arenal were great. A real live volcano up close was cool, the exercise is always needed and the company was great. But, it was interesting to see that I missed Quepos/MA. A few of us have recently talked about how life on the road or in a new place brings relationships into perspective. While some are surprisingly significant others are loose, but equally as important as you adjust to new surroundings. Although many are looking to detach in some ways, cut ourselves off from the norm, learn to not ‘need’ anything or anyone as much as before it seems as though it’s part of our human condition to unknowingly seek acceptance in some way, even subconsciously.

I’ve been lucky to make both types of friends here. That coupled with the sense of simplicity and plain joy of living in a surf town had me fully ready to come back by Sunday (minus the fact that I couldn’t pack Patri in me pack and take her with me.)

The bus ride back from Arenal to my new home was awesome. The fauna was bright and refreshing – green everywhere, light, dark and spots of color in between. Blue sky and then clouds you can touch. Animals, fresh air, therapeutic rains with the window open. Bit the last stop cerca de Super Joseth was the best part. Mi casa…Paz De Paraiso.
