Yoo-hoo, it's picture time!!!

My lovely little Canon Powershot pooped out on me.  Well, actually it was probably my own fault for not being careful as I should be with it.  I guess doing salsa with it in my bag, strapped to my body and not in it's case wasn't such a great idea.

After being rear ended, Nana being sick and experiencing the normal level of anxiety that comes with throwing your life up in the air you could say I was more than a little crabby about my camera situation so close to my departure date.  I mean pictures are one of my favorite things!  I've always been the one with the camera handy.  I love albums and e-pictures equally. Videos are cool, but nothing like a still shot to capture your memory...that split second that brought you pain, peace or joy.  

Since Dena and until I lose a family member, get married or have a mini-me this adventure is certainly the biggest thing that will happen to me in a while.  So, not having the proof of my journey to share would make me super sad.   Well, blow me down, I couldn't believe the package that arrived from my brother today...a new Canon SD1100!  And, get this, it's flippin' pink...fantastico!  It's the perfect go-away and have mucho fun treat from my Mama and Eric.  

I'm a lucky girl.  The camera is great, but the true gift is my family.  I can do this because I have them.  xo
